Change is constant
What makes change so hard? It’s that we are not taught how to manage ourselves through challenging and changing situations.
Life has thrown its share of challenges at me; which means I have firsthand experience at navigating them.
At 25 my adored father died suddenly of a heart attack at age 60. At 27 I was divorced from my first husband. At 30 I remarried, and at 33 and 34 had two beautiful children, very close together, resulting in my postnatal depression. At 40 I divorced again. At 42 my dearly beloved sister committed suicide.
I’ve also been bullied at work. I worked with very stressed business owners and employees for much of my career. I’ve moved cities several times. I left a secure, well paid, corporate role to start my own business, providing business and personal coaching services.
The journey I’ve been on has been very dark and lonely at times, however I have come out the other side knowing it is possible to create an enriched personal and business life, no matter what you are faced with.
What I found through facing these numerous personal and professional challenges was that the key to successfully navigating challenges was to discover and utilise tools and techniques to support yourself on the journey.
Not only did I seek help from a range of professionals at various times, I also discovered various simple, effective strategies, through studying and training with top personal development specialists like: Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership, Bob Proctor, T Harv Ecker, Nicole Cody and Roger Hamilton.
Your capacity to manage stress and your ability to bounce back are significantly enhanced when you grow and develop as a person.
When a person is disillusioned, stressed or maybe overwhelmed, it is not uncommon for their lives to stall, or even unravel.
A similar thing can happen to a business and I seen this when consulting to scores of businesses undergoing some form of change or restructure. I also have first hand experience being responsible for the operations of several businesses undergoing significant changes and leading and managing the process.
Making consistent, incremental changes builds muscle and capability. The return on investment of your time and effort is so worth it.
Prior to starting my coaching and consulting business, I spent over 20 years in senior positions in leading corporate consulting firms working with businesses undergoing some form of change or restructure. I have witnessed the challenges and difficulties experienced by business owners and employees alike.
Much of the pressure could have been alleviated utilising a range of tools and techniques that have been evidenced to increase a person’s ability to successfully navigate day to day challenges, and from there to obtain an increasing level of calmness, meaning and fulfilment.
As an experienced business change professional and executive coach, my great passion and skill is to provide hands on support to make the changes that are needed to get you back on track, and from there to flourish.
Through my services, I share my breakthrough experiences, so that you’ll have the knowledge and techniques to build your tool kit to make the changes you seek, and to achieve the results you’re after.
